8.2 mega pixels, 5x optical zoom The Samsung S85 is a high resolution digital camera that is equipped with a true-colour filtered 8.2 mega-pixel CCD. This allows the Samsung S85 to produce even better images and take detailed photos for printing up to poster size. In addition, the Samsung S85 has a 5x optical and 5x digital zoom giving 25x total zoom when combined.

 - Face Recognition AF & AE
- With the Face Recognition AF & AE function, the Samsung S85 enables the user to take better portrait pictures more easily. The function detects faces and automatically focuses on them; the brightness of the faces is adjusted optimally for beautiful portrait pictures.
- The user can take natural images in an indoor shooting envi-ronment by setting the Fast ASR.
 - In macro shootin, which is vulnerable to camera shake, it is now possible for the user to take clear, natural pictures.
 - Fast ASR (Advanced Shake Reduction) function
- Fast ASR technology prevents the degradation of image clarity and colour which is sometimes found in flash photography. With Fast ASR the effects of image blur are reduced in lower light conditions.You can even take well exposed, sharper pictures in low light conditions without using a flash at all, which guarantees brighter and more natural pictures.
  - ISO 1600 supports
- Even when camera shake has been eliminated, a fast moving subject can cause the image to blur. The L730 supports ISO 1600 high sensitivity to give you super clear pictures with just the right amount of brightness, even when taking moving subjects under less-than-perfect lighting conditions.
